Inside Line Promotions – DRUMRIGHT, Okla. (Feb. 11, 2019) – The 2019 season welcomes new sponsors and additional excitement for the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by Tel-Star Technologies, which begins a new campaign this weekend on the heels of two of the closest points battles in series history.
Superbowl Speedway in Greenville, Texas, hosts the first two of four total races for the series this season when all three primary NOW600 Series divisions – Stock Non-Wing, Winged ‘A’ Class and Restricted ‘A’ Class – compete on Friday and Saturday.
Two of those three divisions were decided by two or fewer points last year and this season it is anticipated to showcase continued back-and-forth action that has the titles going down to the wire. Each class has a stout group of competitors vying for numerous perks as full-time competitors, including a $15,000 points fund that results in the Stock Non-Wing and Winged ‘A’ Class national champion each being awarded $2,000 and the Restricted ‘A’ Class national champion being given $1,000.
Additionally, tow/appearance money is being introduced to the series this season. Drivers who are at 100 percent attendance and in the top three in the championship standings will receive $30 in tow/appearance money at each event.
There will also be a loyalty bonus for drivers who compete in 100 percent of all NOW600 national shows. A $5 bonus per race will be added to their point fund and there will be select events that will add extra bonus money.
The pit gate opens at 4 p.m. with the NOW600 Series draw running from 4:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The drivers meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. with hot laps at 6:15 p.m. and racing to follow each night.
Tickets for adults are $12 and children ages 7-years-old to 11-years-old are $7 each night. Children ages 6-years-old and younger get in free. Pit passes are $30 and drivers will need to purchase one for each class they are competing in.
Live timing and scoring can be found exclusively on the MyRacePass app.
