Daniel Shaffer Captures 2018 Lucas Oil NOW600 Stock Non-Wing National Championship

DRUMRIGHT, Okla. (December 13, 2018) - With the 2018 racing season now over a month in the books, Daniel Shaffer clinched his first ever championship during his title run for the first time with the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by MyRacePass.

Daniel ended the season with three A-Main victories which came with back to back wins during the series' inaugural visit to the Airport Raceway in Garden City, Kansas on Saturday-Sunday, May 26 and 27 and the third during the East / West Showdown at Red Dirt Raceway on Sunday, September 2.

Daniel also added 11 Top 5's, 16 Top 10's and 22 A-Main starts in 2018.

Shaffer will officially be crowned the 2018 champion on Saturday, December 29 during the NOW600 Banquet at the Turn 5 Lounge at Port City Raceway in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
