DRUMRIGHT, Okla. (January 29, 2017) – The Driven Midwest USAC NOW600 National Micros are entering the fifth season of action in 2017 and today officials have released the schedule for the second season of competition for the NOW600 North Texas Region.
The North Texas Region of the National Open Wheel 600 Series will feature 26 nights of action across the Dallas Metroplex.
The North Texas Region points will be awarded during Driven Midwest National Tour events in North Texas as well as weekly A-Class events at the RPM Speedway in Crandall.
“We are excited to sanction our weekly Winged A-Class events at RPM.” said RPM promoter, Martin Edwards. “The 600’s are a growing class across the Dallas Metroplex and joining with NOW600 will help our weekly car counts grow while also allowing our drivers to run for the NOW600 North Texas Region points and our weekly RPM points.” explained Edwards.
“I am excited to partner with RPM.” commented NOW600 Series founder, Terry Mattox. “The Edwards and I have had a great working relationship with not just NOW600, but also ASCS and I look to continuing this relationship in the betterment of 600cc racing in the Dallas Metroplex.”
Drivers running for the NOW600 North Texas Region championship will be required to pay a $50 membership fee and run 80% of the North Texas Region schedule to receive end of the year awards.
The NOW600 North Texas Region will be awarding points for two classes: Restricted ‘A’ Class at National Tour events, while the Stock Winged and Non-Wing divisions points will be combined to name champion for the A-Class division.
Payouts for the North Texas Region will follow National Pay on National Tour events and follow normal RPM pay on their weekly events.
Each week the North Texas Region point standings will be posted no later that 5PM on Tuesday night under our Rules/Downloads page on http://www.now600series.com.
