USAC, POWRi and NOW600 Headline Topless at the Creek Thursday; Fast Five Weekly Racing Marches On Saturday.

Terry Mattox – SAPULPA, Okla. (August 17, 2015) – The USAC Southwest Sprint Cars, Lucas Oil POWRi West Midgets and NOW600 Non-Wing Micros roll into Creek County Speedway this Thursday night, August 20 for the Inaugural Topless at the Creek.
The Creek County Speedway will play host to the second night of the 3rd Annual ‘Freedom Tour” for the USAC Southwest Sprint Cars on Thursday night.
The last appearance by the USAC Southwest Sprint Cars saw Broken Arrow native, Brady Bacon taking honors at the Creek County Speedway over California’s Colby Copleand. Arizona’s Josh Pelkey took the final spot of the podium with Washington’s Seth Bergman fourth and Arizona’s Casey Shuman rounded out the top five.
Also joining the program will be the Lucas Oil POWRi West Midget Series. In the last stop by the POWRi West Midgets was on April 10, 2014 during the annual “Light Up the Creek Blue” event which saw Owasso’s Matt Sherrell with Broken Arrow’s Alex Sewell chasing him to the line. Choctaw’s Cody Brewer settled for third with Sapulpa’s Danny Smith and Matt Johnson rounding out the top five.
The Non-Wing arm of the NOW600 Micro Series presented by MyRacePass.com will also be featured on the Topless at the Creek card. Dean Drake, Jr. is the most recent winner in the Non-Wing division as he claimed victory on June 26 over Jeffrey Newell. Cord Dodson who also won last year’s Non-Wing micro feature during the USAC “Freedom Tour” at Creek finished third with Bobby McIntosh and Ryan Hunt rounding out the top five.
Topless at the Creek is set to kick off at 8PM on Thursday, August 20 with Gates opening at 5PM.
Adult tickets are $20, Kids 10-14 are $10 and Children under 10 are ALWAYS FREE!

The Fast Five Weekly Series will also return to action on Saturday, August 22.
With only three Fast Five Weekly Series points races remaining in the 2015 “Championship Chase” the point battles are heating up in the Champ Sprint, Dwarf Car and Mini Stock divisions. Who will be crowned champion? We will find out in three weeks.
Michael Tyre has retained the points lead in the Championship Sprint Car division. Anthony Neel continues to show the way in the Modified class. Paul York leads the charge in the Dwarf Cars with Bobby Wolfe dominating the Factory Stocks and Daniel Ray Denton holding on by 13 in the Mini Stocks.
Fast Five Weekly Series action kicks off tentatively at 7PM (may change due to heat) with Gates opening at 5PM.
