TriboDyn Lubricants Carolina Sprint Tour Title Coming Down to Wire as Series Visits Fayetteville Motor Speedway This Saturday

Inside Line Promotions – TAYLORSVILLE, N.C. (Sept. 16, 2019) – Three sprint car drivers are in a fight for the top of the TriboDyn Lubricants Carolina Sprint Tour championship standings as the penultimate event is this weekend.

Fayetteville Motor Speedway in Fayetteville, N.C., hosts its lone series race of the season on Saturday. Jake Karklin enters the event with a nine-point lead over Brandon McLain with John Karklin only a dozen points out of the top spot.

All three drivers have earned one feature victory this season, including McLain scoring his first career sprint car triumph during the most recent event.

Steve Surniak, who leads the series with a trio of feature wins, ranks fourth in the championship standings – 35 points out of the lead. Sean Vardell trails Surniak by only three points with Frank Peters 10 points behind Vardell.

Mike Sellers, Shawn Mott, Ben McCall and George Blaney round out the top 10 in the championship standings, respectively.

Saturday’s race will provide each heat race winner with a gift certificate courtesy of Carolina Racing Supply.

The infield gates open at 4 p.m. with the main gates opening at 5 p.m. The drivers meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. with hot laps to follow.
