"Tiffany Finds Her Groove At Quincy"

Tiffany Wyzard Motorsports was back in action as Memorial Day weekend graced the Midwest. Tiffany and team elected to compete in two of the three MOWA events scheduled.

Tiffany kicked off her weekend Friday at the Jacksonville Speedway, as 26 cars signed in to do battle. Tiffany would start 6th in the second heat race of the evening. After two early cautions slowed the event, Tiffany began a fierce battle with the #84 of Ben Wagoner, eventually relinquishing the position after a late race bobble and crossing the finish line in 4th.

Without much passing in the heat, Tiffany would start the 25-lap A-Feature from mid-pack. The slick racing surface saw many drivers battling for the same piece of real estate, resulting in contact. Tiffany fell victim to said contact as the #6 of Andy Baugh unintentional dove to the bottom and clipped Tiffany in the right front, causing her to spin going in to Turn 3 about midway through. However, Tiffany stayed in the throttle, executing a 360 spin and kept going, resulting in a loss of track position and racing positions. Tiffany persevered to finish 14th in the final standings after her unfortunate incident.

The team elected to skip the MOWA series event Saturday at Federated Auto Parts Raceway @ I-55 in Pevely, MO, but were back in action Sunday as MOWA invaded the Quincy Raceways. 19 cars were set to do battle for MOWA’s Memorial Day Weekend finale.

Tiffany would start 9th in the first heat race of the evening, but make a strong charge to the front. After the original start was called back for a false start, Tiffany soon found a rhythm and began picking off cars before AJ Bruns spun coming off Turn 2 shortly after the halfway point. Tiffany would restart from the 4th position and maintain it to the checkered flag.

Tiffany would lock herself in to the 6 car, 6-lap trophy dash by being the highest point earning car through the passing point system. She started 4th, but slipped back to 5th at the finish.

Tiffany would start the 25-lap A-Feature from the 5th position, narrowly avoiding a spinning Paul Nienhiser and a flipping Jimmy Light in Turn 4 coming to complete lap 1. On the restart, she quickly settled into 4th and began rapidly tracking down Jim Moughan for 3rd. However, lady luck would not be on her side, as she clipped an infield tire and ended her evening. The official results show Tiffany 17th, however they were not indicative of how fast she truly was.

The team will be back in action as MOWA heads to an Indiana doubleheader, racing June 20th in Bloomington and the 21st in Haubstadt. Please check www.tiffanywyzard .com for updates on possible shows between now and mid-June!
