Vance Wofford Wins First Career POWRi Vado Wing Sprint Feature

Belleville, IL. (5/1/22) Battling the intense action of the POWRi Jackson Compaction Vado Wing Sprints for the third time this season, twenty competitors would file into the pristine pits of Vado Speedway Park over the past weekend with Vance Wofford joining the ranks of his winning racing family by capturing his first career feature victory in the division.

Early on-track action would witness heat race victories from Jesse Baker and Justin Lasiter with Lasiter gaining the pole starting position with CJ Hulsey lining up on the outside front-row entering the feature event.

Showing speed all event, Vance Wofford would appear to be on a mission Saturday night after racing from starting fifth to finishing third in his heat racing action to set himself up for an outstanding third place grid for the feature. Wasting hardly any time, Vance would fly to the front of the field to take the lead and capture his first victory of the young season.

Staying in the hunt for the front of the field the full event would find Rick Ziehl racing from starting fourth to finishing runner-up with Wes Wofford running from sixth to crossing the checkers third. Perennial front-runner Caleb Saiz and Robert Herrara would intensely jockey for fourth and fifth positions as Herrera earned the late advantage and position to leave Saiz rounding out the top-five at Vado Speedway Park with the POWRi Jackson Compaction Vado Wing Sprints.
