D. Schuett Secures Ninth Place in POWRi Points
Philo, IL- Schuett Racing, Inc. is proud to announce that Derek Schuett secured ninth place in points for the POWRi 600cc Outlaw Micro series presented by Speedway Motors. “The whole team worked very hard this season,” said Derek. “I’m extremely proud of my team and what we’ve accomplished. We had some good runs, a couple top five finishes and a few top ten finishes. We also had our down moments when we lost a couple engines. That hurt us. But we never gave up, kept on pushing and here we are.”
Derek had two top-five finishes, back-to-back at Fayette County Speedway (6/1) and Tri-State Speedway (6/2). “We made an excellent choice at the end of last year to run with POWRi,” said Jim Schuett, the boys’ father. “Not only have both Derek and Kyle improved, but we all gained experience this year. We learned a lot about what works well on our cars. Now it’s time to take that knowledge and apply it to next season.”
