Stanley Kreisel Remains Winning with CMS Weekend Next for POWRi Midwest Lightning Sprints

Belleville, IL. (08/31/2020) The POWRi Midwest Lightning Sprints returned to their home facility of I-35 Speedway in Winston, Missouri this past Saturday evening with outstanding open-wheel exhilarations on nearly every lap. Flexing his might in style, winning a heat race as well as grabbing the feature victory, Stanley Kreisel would extend to his point lead as well as adding to the season win tally of seven victories so far in 2020.

Notching heat race wins in early racing action Stanley Kreisel #18 and Chasity Younger #10 would both fall victim to an unfortunate invert, forcing the initial frontrunners to start mid-pack for the feature. Once green flag feature racing was underway Kreisel would waste no-time marching from his seventh starting spot to the front. Battling for the top spot with Chase Fischer #22 for several laps Kreisel would grab the lead in tight racing with neither driver giving up their preferred running line.

With the front pair stretching the field, Kreisel would earn his seventh POWRi Lucas Oil Midwest Lightning Sprint feature victory as Fischer placed in the runner-up spot. In a valiant effort to keep the points battle close, Brandon Smith continues to prove that consistency can pay off by achieving another podium finish. Close-quarter racing would ensue behind the top trio as Kenny Bowers #49b, Chasity Younger, and new-comer Jeffrey Sears #13J would all be in the mix vying for position. Bowers would maintain a great showing by placing fourth with Younger rounding out the top five. Sears, in only his second MLS start, would suffer mechanical issues late in the race taking his from competition but not before showing great signs of things in store for future races.
