Jack Hall Racing set to defend 2023 Sprint Car Championship
2024 Jack Hall Racing season has been challenging at best.
Our 1st race for this year opened March 1st & 2nd at Red Dirt Raceway with the Oil Capital Racing Series and 7th Annual Spring Nationals. We had average night going until we were caught up in a mess and flipped it over. Those Wings are expensive even when they are bought used!
Next on the schedule was a Non-Wing show at RDR on March 30th with the United Sprint League and The Hero 100 lap A Feature. Against my better judgment, I agreed to give Jack the opportunity to race it. We qualified 7yh quick out of the 24 cars checking in. After the invert we were set to start P2. OMG are you kidding me? A starting position not on the rear? I am in on that!
Green flag dropped for the 100 lapper with Jack and his buddy Rees Moran swapping the lead, throwing sliders and leaving the rest of the field behind. My gosh I was on cloud 37 watching those two kids looking like seasoned veterans!
Well while leading on lap 34, my Driver made a mistake and hit the concrete fence and flipped the car. Jack was ok with only his bell rung and hurt pride. I was so damn proud of him despite the ending. Stuff happens in auto racing.
Car was brought to pits on the tractor forks. The car was in bad shape with not much left that was not damaged or broke, including the chassis. This was going to be expensive for our little "Mom & Pop" team. Our outlook for racing was basically over for the foreseeable future. In fact if we had not just ordered a custom Fire Suit from Dave at Highside Racewear, I was done with it.
Here comes the good part!!
A few phone calls to our generous partners, who stepped in to help and the rebuilding was back on. We can not thank the following partners for their help.
