Shullick Wins ISMA-MSS Ollie Silva Mid-Summer Classic!

Lee, NH- The ISMA-MSS Supermodifieds made their return to New Hampshire’s Center of Speed after a few years away. Also making the trip was the R&R Raceparts Street Stock tour. These tours were joined by the Black Flagged Podcast Ridge Runners, O’Reilly Auto Parts Six Shooters, and MLM Diagnostic Services Open Pure Stocks.

14 ISMA-MSS Supermodifieds made the trip to compete with cars from as far away as North Carolina, Ohio, and Canada. Otto Sitterly in the 7 set fast time im time trials with a lap of 12.671; while heat races wins would go to the 32 of Moe Lilje and 02 of Brandon Bellinger. Sitterly would lead 5 of the first 8 laps before the 96 of Tyler Shullick would lead from lap 9 until lap 14 when Lilje made the pass for the lead and started to run away. Until lap 52 when Shullick decided he had saved enough tire and made the pass for the lead. Local favorite Jon McKennedy in the 79 made a late race effort to get the lead after taking over the 2nd spot on lap 54. After losing the lead Lilje fell back to the 3rd place and held off all challengers for the final podium spot. When the checkers flew Shullick took the win with McKennedy in 2nd, Lilje was 3rd, Sitterly held on to 4th and points leaders coming into the event, Trent Stephens in the 19 rounded out the top 5.

R&R Raceparts Street Stock tour rolled in 21 cars strong but would loose 2 cars before feature events. Heat racer winners would be the 02 of Geoff Rollins and the 7x of Shane Gendron. Adam Lovejoy driving car #2 used an early race restart to take the lead and after that restart the field would run straight to the checker! Lovejoy was in a different zip code than his competitors on this night. Charlie Sanborn in car #2B gave chase the entire feature but would run out of time. George Baldwin in car #11 ran third for most of the race and would have to settle for it. Rollins finished 4th and Jeff Alley in car #24 finished taking their photo.

14 Blacked Flag Podcast Ridge Runners came out looking to show everyone that they found what ya need. Due to schedule format we won’t be running years. David Cameron in car #2 crossed the line first but stiff got his camera. Gage Osborne car #55 crossed the line 2nd. Brian Caswell car #47 held on to finish 3rd. Jessica Coulter in car #5 finished 4th and Callie Osborne wheeled her #59 from the back to finish 5th. In post race tech Cameron and Coulter were disqualified, for full details check out our tech report! These dq’s changed the final top 3 finishers to Gage Osborne, Brian Caswell and Callie Osborne.

O’Reilly Auto Parts Six Shooters saw no heat races. Kody Parker in the 11 started in the pole and jumped to the early lead with Christin Destefano (67) in tow. Destefano made the pass for the lead on lap 8, holding the top spot until lap 15 when Paul Childs in the 24 got by. Childs run would last 3 laps before Destefano would muscle back to the lead. Then on lap 21 the 33A of Erin Aiken took the lead and never looked back! With 2nd place going to Steve Miller Jr. in the 79. Trystin Boswell drove her 17x to a 3rd place with a late race pass. Destefano would fall back to 4th place and rounding out the top 5 was Parker.

MLM Diagnostic Services Open Pure Stocks also had no scheduled heat races. Carlos Grenier in the 1NH would lead wire to wire to collect the win. Sean Nadeau in the 35 gave chase the entire time; always in striking distance if Grenier slipped up but never close enough to apply any pressure. Jojo Roberts in the 08 rounded out the top 3.
