CORNWALL, ONTARIO – O, Canada, CRSA is coming back!

The A-Verdi Storage Containers CRSA Sprints, powered by Super Gen Products, announced today that they will return to Canada Oct. 5 for the Canadian CRSA/Crate Challenge at Cornwall Motor Speedway in Ontario. This race marks CRSA's return to Canada for the first time since 2008 and is the first CRSA-sanctioned race in Ontario.

The event will conclude the 2024 season as a non-point event. It will feature one of the highest purses in recent CRSA memory: $1500 to win, $250 to make the feature and $75 for tow money.

CRSA drivers led by Sherbrooke, Quebec’s Tomy Moreau, past champions Jordan Hutton and Dalton Herrick, and young guns from the likes of Blake Warner and Dillon Paddock are just the many that will represent CRSA at Cornwall. About eight to 10 Canadian crate drivers will look to spoil the night for the CRSA family of drivers. Lee Ladouceur, Ryan Poole, Cam MacKinnon and Matt Billings are some notables that race a crate sprint locally in Canada.

Cornwall Motor Speedway track promoter Raymond Lavergne contacted CRSA owner Mike Emhof, expressing his interest in bringing “The Future Stars of Sprint Cars” back to Canada. Emhof and his crew at CRSA also reached out to drivers expressing interest.

“I worked with Mike in the past, and he was a really nice, excellent and honest guy to work with," said Lavergne. "His past with the Patriot Sprint Tour was great. He worked with us as a promoter and we continue to work together. Sprint car racing in Canada is huge. I always want to give a chance for fans to see a new series.”

“We want to thank Raymond for hosting the CRSA Sprints and his excitement for sprint car racing,” said Emhof. “Many people don’t realize that sprint car racing is well known in Canada, and we’re proud to see CRSA gather interest.”

Current CRSA Sprints points leader Tomy Moreau's hopes of having a series race in his home country are under two months from coming true. One of the more dedicated drivers in the series, making around five to seven-hour trips to New York, Moreau considers this the biggest race of his career.

"Joining CRSA three years ago, I was dreaming that it could be cool to see them in Canada, but knowing everyone is working weekdays, I never expected it, really," Moreau said. "Cornwall is a track I started to go to when I was five or six years old, watching my dad race. I know this place like its home for me. Super excited to have a place on the schedule and hope everyone that will come will love it as much as me.”
