Trombley Leads In Quest For Third CRSA Crown

Sodus, NY (6/15/19) – As the days click off and the calendar turns to mid-June, the points races within the SuperGen Products with Champion Power Equipment CRSA Sprint Car Series are heating up. In all, three of the 14 scheduled events on the 2019 season schedule have been completed at three very different and unique tracks.
With events at the big, fast half mile known as the Land of Legends Raceway, the three eighths of a mile show palace known as the Weedsport Speedway and the Fastest Quarter Mile on Dirt, the Glen Ridge Motorsports Park all in the book a familiar face sits on top of the overall series point standings.
Jeff Trombley, of Altamont, New York currently sits on top in the race for his third CRSA Sprint Car Series championship in a row with car owner Warren Alexson. The two-time Fonda Speedway Dirt Modified Track Champion has am 18 point lead over one of the CRSA Young Guns – Johnny Kolosek.
The Marion, New York driver has scored two top five finishes and three top ten’s so far in the young season. He currently holds a six point advantage over another CRSA Young Gun Justin Mills. The defending CRSA Rookie of the Year out of Bloomingburg, New York has not finished outside of the top ten this season.
Rounding out the top five is the father-daughter duo of Alysha Bay and Darryl Ruggles. Bay is three points behind Mills and two points ahead of Ruggles. Ruggles, like Trombley has one feature win on the season. Trombley picked up the season opener win at the Land of Legends Raceway while Ruggles brought home the checkers at the Weedsport Speedway. Cory Sparks won the Glen Ridge event.
With their wins, Trombley leads the SuperGen Products with Champion Power Equipment CRSA/Land of Legends Raceway Challenge Series point standings and Sparks leads the Kennedy’s of Troy Northway 90 Challenge Series point standings.
The 2019 SuperGen Products with Champion Power Equipment CRSA Sprint Car Series is back in action at the Afton Motorsports Park on Friday July 12th.
