MESERAULL RETAINS ISW LEAD BY A SINGLE DIGIT ENTERING GAS CITY MONDAY

Thomas Meseraull maintains his Indiana Sprint Week presented by Camping World point lead by the narrowest of margins entering Round 3 of 7 Monday night at Gas City I-69 Speedway in the 30th Annual edition of the series.

The San Jose, California native finished 7th Sunday night at Lawrenceburg Speedway one night after capturing the victory in the ISW opener at Kokomo Speedway.

Trailing Meseraull by a single point is Broken Arrow, Oklahoma’s Brady Bacon. The reigning ISW champion will not be competing in the second half of ISW, but has been the most consistent through two events, following up a third-place finish at Kokomo with a runner-up result at Lawrenceburg.

Greenfield, Indiana’s C.J. Leary, by virtue of his first career ISW victory at Lawrenceburg, has shot up to third, three points behind the leader.

The top-five drivers are separated by a mere 7 points with Kevin Thomas, Jr. (Cullman, Alabama) and Dave Darland (Lincoln, Indiana) locked up in the fifth spot. In fact, all of the top-11 residents in the ISW standings are past ISW feature winners: Chris Windom, Tyler Courtney, Carson Short, Robert Ballou, Kyle Cummins and Brady Short.

Pit gates and the grandstands for Monday’s Gas City race open at 3pm. The drivers meeting is set for 6pm with cars scheduled to hit the track at 6:30pm (Times are subject to change).

Following Monday’s Gas City event, the USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship and ISW takes a night off before returning Wednesday, July 12 at the Terre Haute Action Track, Thursday, July 13 at Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville, Friday, July 14 at Bloomington Speedway and the ISW finale Saturday, July 15 at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt.
