STEVIE IRWIN WINS THE TOPLESS NIGHT AT I-96 SPEEDWAY

Lake Odessa, MI (Friday, June 17, 2023) -Great Lakes Traditional Sprints presented by PErfit Engine Pro (GLTS) had their second race of the season at I-96 Speedway. Since we have practically hit the middle of the season we may start to see smaller car counts due to damages that have happened to the cars or repairs that take a few weeks to be fixed. Even though we have had smaller car counts, GLTS really knows how to put on a fantastic show! The night was packed with a thrilling event of high speed racing and an amazing turnout in the stands. To start this right, we would like to say thank you to all the drivers, fans, sponsors, and staff members who came out to the race and supported us.

Stevie Irwin (Fenton, MI) started in 3rd place and after a few laps he was able to pass by Jason Ferguson (Fremont ,MI) who was holding the lead. Ferguson was right on Irwin's tale the whole Feature Race and it was a battle between them. When they came around turn 4 for the last time it was so close between Ferguson and Irwin, but Irwin was able to hold out and take home the Feature win.

Ralph Brakenberry (Pigeon, MI) ended up winning the Hoosier Racing Tire Hard Charger. Irwin sets a fast time taking home the MPD Racing Fast Qualifier!

Irwin wins the Engler Machine and Tool Heat Race 1. Max Frank (Williamston, MI) wins the Beacon & Bridge Market Heat Race 2.

Next Up! GLTS will be racing at Silver Bullet Speedway on June 24 and Fremont Speedway on July 1st!!
