URSS-United Rebel Sprint Series
SPEEDWEEKS IS HERE: The Rebels Head to Central Kansas for the Four-Day URSS Speedweeks Tour
WaKeeney, KS, 7/8/2024 (www.urssracing.com) - For the first time in series history, the United Rebel Sprint Series presented by RacinDirt.Com looks to kick off its official 2024 Speedweeks Tour.
The week will highlight three different tracks across a four-day stretch in the Sunflower State. It all kicks off Thursday, July 11th at WaKeeney Speedway in WaKeeney, Kansas. The mid-banked 3/8 mile oval has played host to twenty-six United Rebel Sprint Series sanctioned races since 2006. Zach Blurton and C.J Johnson have won five-times at the track.
The pinnacle point of the week will start Friday, July 12th, with the two-day WheatShocker Nationals at the Rolling Plains Motor Speedway in Hays, Kansas. Another 3/8 mile track located right off of I-70, this track has hosted some spectacular sprint car racing in the past.
Rounding out the four-day swing, the series will make a short trip south on Sunday, July 14th to the Bullring of LaCrosse, Kansas. The series fell short of its feature race just one year ago at the track, after a wreck in another division caused extensive damage to the front stretch wall.
One thing folks need to keep an eye out for heading into the week will be the battle for the 2024 points championship. After 12 races this season, Jeremy Huish holds just a two-point lead over Steven Richardson. “This week will really be a turning point of the season,” said Richardson last week in North Platte. “We just need to go out and execute on some really fun tracks,” he added.
All events will be streamed live on RacingDirt.Com To subscribe to RacingDirt and access to all United Rebel Sprint Series events, archived races and content, click here: https://www.racindirt.tv/
