OCRS season opens Friday at Red Dirt Raceway
By John Rittenoure, TULSA, Okla. (February 28, 2022) - After four months off, its finally time for the AmeriFlex / OCRS IMCA Sprint Cars to hit the track, and it happens Friday night at Red Dirt Raceway.
The 25-race 2022 AmeriFlex / OCRS season opens with back-to-back shows at Red Dirt Raceway starting on Friday and concluding with another complete point show on Saturday.
Last season over 40 race teams showed up at Red Dirt for the season opener where Johnny Kent won on Friday and Joe Bob Lee topped Saturday's main event. For Lee it was the start of a career best season which resulted in two more victories on the way to the 2021 AmeriFlex / OCRS championship. Lee also was crowned the Oklahoma IMCA champion.
Racing at the Meeker quarter-mile starts at 6 p.m. on Friday and 4 p.m. on Saturday.
