TONY’S STEWART’S “ALL-STARS” VS. BUMPER TO BUMPER IRA OUTLAW SPRINTS “OUR STARS” FOR SUPREMECY AT WILMOT RACEWAY!
IRA SPRINTS LOOK TO SECURE WIN ON HOME TURF THIS SATURDAY NIGHT!
July 21, 2015; Wilmot, WI – It’s about pride and staking a claim on the winner’s circle at Wilmot Raceway, the birthplace of the Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprints. The best 410 outlaw sprint drivers in the upper-Midwest will represent the home team this Saturday evening, July 25th at the Wilmot Raceway. The driver placing his car in the winner’s circle not only represented the pride of their series but will have earned a cool $5,000 as well!
The visitors are representing a revamped, and refocused UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions. Purchased this year by racing legend Tony Stewart, the All-Stars have begun to rebuild, and with a focus on proving their traveling stars are among the best they have been whipping up on locals wherever the travel. Expect over a dozen of that series top star drivers to battle for the rights to Wilmot Raceway’s winner circle.
Currently the score is 3-0 in favor of the All-Stars, or more specifically in favor of multi-time All-Star champion Dale Blaney. Blaney has won all three showdown events between the two series, and he’s looking to extend the streak to four.
He comes into the contest as the point leader in the All-Star sprints, and has captured four wins this season. Joining Blaney in representing the All-Stars will be Cody Darrah, Chad Kemenah, Greg Wilson, Tim Shaffer, Danny Holtgraver, Ryan Smith, Travis Philo, Andrew Palker and Caleb Helms. Over a dozen All-Stars are expected for the event.

Sheldon Haudenschild, who won the historic return of Winged 410 sprints to Angell Park Speedway last season, and Parker Price Miller who won the most recent IRA race held this past Sunday evening, also at the Angell Park Speedway. Both drivers will be chasing their second career IRA victory.
Don’t expect the Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprints to give up the path to victory without a fight. Atop the point standings is a torrid point battle between Plainfield, Indiana native Bill Rose and Plymouth, WI resident Ben Schmidt, the pair are separated by a single point with Rose looking to overtake Schmidt. Rose is a former regular on the World of Outlaw circuit has been adopted by the IRA Sprints, he has been a title threat since joining the series and has closed the gap on Schmidt with remarkable consistency. Rose has made it clear what he wants more than a title, is a win, and this Saturday night is a perfect place to reach the checkered first.
Schmidt, a multi-time 360 sprint title holder is in his second year of IRA competition, and has proven he can run with the best in 410 action. Already getting his first career series win out of the way Schmidt has racked up four second place performances this year, and he’d surely like to turn those seconds into firsts!
Other IRA winners this season Jeremy Schultz, Blake Nimee, Scotty Neitzel and Mike Reinke are also eager to defend IRA’s honor. Add to that list Phillip Mock, who scored wins in a pair of local 410 shows at Wilmot Raceway, and you have a united group of racers ready to win for the IRA banner.
Todd Daun, the 2014 Wilmot Raceway champ knows the third-mile clay oval as well as anyone on hand and is another driver due for a victory within the IRA ranks.
With a field of 40 drivers expected the full contingent of IRA regulars will be on hand.
