Inside Line Promotions – BARTLETT, Tenn. (Nov. 3, 2020) – Jason Sides will tie a bow on the 2020 season this weekend in North Carolina.

The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series invades The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord on Friday and Saturday for the World of Outlaws Last Call.

“I’m excited about getting the year over with,” he said. “2020 has been a bad year. Everyone is in the same boat. I think this weekend will be different without having all three classes there at the same time like it is during the World Finals. I think the track will be hard and dry since the late models will be there Wednesday and Thursday. I see it being a little drier than normal.”

This will be the only time Sides has raced at the dirt oval this year. He powered from 15th to eighth during a race there last year, which was his most recent of 16 top 10s at the track since 2007. He also has five top fives during that span, including career-best runner-up results in 2009 and in 2013.

“I think mainly it’s about starting position,” he said. “A few times we’ve started toward the back and had some good runs when there’s a line around the bottom and it gets way up on the top, but most times it’s all about how you qualify.”

Sides enters this weekend ranked 11th in the World of Outlaws championship standings – only 86 points out of the top 10. However, Sides Motorsports is 10th in the owner standings.

“Any time you end the year on a good note it has a little momentum going into next year,” he said. “For us and most teams the 2020 season has been tough all year around. Everyone is ready to get it over with and start fresh for next year.”
