Inside Line Promotions – JACKSON, Minn. (June 4, 2018) – Jackson Motorplex will host one of winged sprint car racing’s biggest events of the season this weekend.

The 40th annual AGCO Jackson Nationals showcases complete World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series races on Thursday and Friday before culminating on Saturday with a $40,000-to-win, $3,000-to-start main event. Heartland Steel RaceSaver sprint cars presented by Wyffels Hybrids will also race all three nights with no track points being awarded. Only the finale on Saturday will have IMCA state and national points.

Brothers Ian Madsen and Kerry Madsen split the two World of Outlaws preliminary nights last year before Brad Sweet claimed the ultimate prize by winning the finale. All three drivers are expected this weekend when a stout field of competitors is projected.

Nine-time World of Outlaws champion Donny Schatz is the series’ current points leader and his nine victories this season lead the way. Sweet ranks second in the championship standings – only 96 points behind Schatz. David Gravel, Shane Stewart, Daryn Pittman, Jason Johnson, Sheldon Haudenschild, Logan Schuchart, Ian Madsen and Kraig Kinser round out the top 10 in the standings, respectively.

Brent Marks, who recorded his first career World of Outlaws triumph during the most recent race, leads a handful of other full-time competitors including Jason Sides, Jacob Allen, Greg Wilson and Clyde Knipp who are just outside the top 10 in season points.

Cory Eliason, who has spent a majority of this season on the World of Outlaws trail, won the lone Outlaw Sprints Fueled by Casey’s General Stores 410 sprint cars event at Jackson Motorplex this season.

There are plenty of activities away from the track as well.

The festivities kick off on Wednesday evening with a hauler parade starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Burger King parking lot and traveling through downtown. It will end at the track, where there will be a Fan Fest behind the grandstands from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Cars will be on display and teams will be selling merchandise. Jackson Motorplex will be serving a burger or brat, chips and a drink for only $5. The Jeremy DeWall Band will also be live in the beer garden.

The Lions pancake breakfast is both Friday and Saturday morning in the blue building on the fairgrounds. The price is $7 for adults.

AGCO will have an open house on Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Intivity Center. Drivers will be signing autographs and there will be a $5 lunch that benefits Jackson Food 4 Kids.

There will be a bean bag tournament beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday.

Also, the vendor area will open at 3 p.m. each day.

The pits open at 2 p.m. with the grandstands opening at 4 p.m. for Thursday night’s AGCO Jackson Nationals presented by Casey’s General Stores. MRN’s Winged Nation presented by Minnesota Mafia will be on the Miller Lite stage from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. with hot laps beginning at 7 p.m.

All the times are the same for the AGCO Jackson Nationals presented by ASI Contracting on Friday and Saturday as well. A post-race press conference will be on the Miller Lite stage after the features each night.

A three-day general admission pass is $89 and a three-day reserved ticket is $99 if purchased by Wednesday night. The ticket office is open from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday and from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Wednesday.

Individual day tickets are as follows: Thursday (adult general admission: $32; adult reserved $35; children ages 6-years-old to 12-years-old general admission $15; children ages 6-years-old to 12-years-old reserved $17; and pit passes are $40); Friday (adult general admission: $37; adult reserved $40; children ages 6-years-old to 12-years-old general admission $17; children ages 6-years-old to 12-years-old reserved $19; and pit passes are $42); and Saturday (adult general admission: $40; adult reserved $43; children ages 6-years-old to 12-years-old general admission $20; children ages 6-years-old to 12-years-old reserved $22; and pit passes are $45).
