Inside Line Promotions – LAWRENCEBURG, Ind. (May 31, 2017) – Jason Sides is excited to head to Jackson Motorplex this weekend for the three-day, 39th annual AGCO Jackson Nationals.

Sides scored an Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions win at the half-mile oval in Jackson, Minn., in 2012 and he produced his career-best World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series result of seventh the following season.

“I’ve been pretty decent there,” he said. “It seems like I tend to run better on the bigger tracks. I’m looking forward to this weekend.”

Sides and the World of Outlaws will compete at the track Thursday through Saturday with the finale paying $25,000 to win.

Sides is coming off a busy week of traveling with the World of Outlaws beginning last Wednesday at New Egypt Speedway in New Egypt, N.J., for the Jersey Outlaw Classic.

“It started out decent,” he said. “We qualified fifth quick and we were leading the heat race and then we broke a u-joint. So that puts us in the Last Chance Showdown. We scrambled to get it fixed for the LCS, which we won. I passed a few cars to start the main event. On one of the restarts I got three or four more cars. I was on the inside and when I lifted the car sat down hard and hit the infield guard rail. When it did it spun around and turned over.”

Sides had rallied from the heat race problem and was in contention for a top 10 during the main event when the incident occurred. He restarted at the back and ended with an 18th-place result.

He then ventured to The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, N.C., last Friday for the Outlaw Showdown.

“The track was slick from the get-go,” he said. “It was blowing dust before we took a green flag lap. We didn’t qualify very well and finished where we started in the heat race. For the A Main they pushed the tires in on the bottom, but it was real dirty and crumbly. It was loose the first 10 or 15 laps and then the track got really clean.”

Sides timed in 18th quickest, placed sixth in a heat race and finished 19th in the main event.

The week wrapped up on Monday at Lawrenceburg Speedway, where Sides qualified 24th quickest. An eighth-place finish in a heat race and third-place result in the Last Chance Showdown preceded Sides’ 19th-place outing in the A Main.
