World of Outlaws Tackles Asgrow/DeKalb Clash at the Creek on Sept. 13

Inside Line Promotions – SPRING VALLEY, Minn. – Slide jobs are as thrilling for sprint car drivers as the fans who are cheering in the stands.

Deer Creek Speedway showcases elite slide jobs, which will be evident when the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series embarks upon the high-banked track on Saturday, Sept. 13, for the Asgrow/DeKalb Clash at the Creek.

“I love that place,” Paul McMahan said. “It’s one of those places that has really high banking and is pretty flat on the bottom. To make a pass you’re going to be doing some big sliders.”

While McMahan is searching for his first World of Outlaws victory at the 3/8-mile oval, he said the show is always exciting.

“It’s always a fun race to race,” he said. “Every time we’ve been there we’ve put on a good race.”

There has been a different winner in each of the past four years with Joey Saldana the only driver to win more than once. Ian Madsen scored the victory last season with Craig Dollansky and 20-time series champion Steve Kinser also victorious at Deer Creek Speedway.
