(Kansas City, Kansas) Lakeside Speedway kicks back into high gear on Friday with the annual Tom Karrick Memorial, honoring the Central Auto Racing Boosters Hall of Fame and Museum, Incorporated late driver who passed away in 1994. USMTS regular Jake O’Neil won last year’s event.

Local A-Mod standouts such as 2021 Track Champion Nic Bidinger, Tim Karrick (son of Tom Karrick), Randal Schiffelbein, Jr., Bill Ruisinger, Justin Johnson, and Cody Owens are expected to compete for the victory.

The Memorial race features a $2,000 payday for the winner and pays $250 to start! A-Mod drivers have a flat $40 pit pass fee. NASCAR temporary license are available if needed. Joining A-Mods on the bill are B-Mods, Stock Cars, Pure Stocks, and Mod Lites.

The Friday timeline is as follows: Pit gate opens at 5 p.m. followed by grandstand admissions at 6 p.m. Driver pill draw closes at 6:45 followed by the pit meeting at 7, practice hot laps at 7:15, and racing to follow.

Friday ticketing: General Admission: Adults (16+) $20, Seniors/Military $15, Juniors (12-15) $5, Under 12 Free. Suites: Adults (13+) $30, Kids (2-12) $10, Under 2 Free. Terrace: Adults (16+) $20, Seniors and Military $15, Juniors (12-15) $5, Under 12 Free. For Suite and Terrace availability call (913) 299-9206. Pit Pass (other than A-Mods) 7 and Older $35, Under 7 $15. All kids 17 and under must have signed Minor Release to enter the pits.

For those unable to make it in person, you may watch the event live via pay-per-view by pointing your web browser to www.lakesideSpeedway.TV. Once on the website, in the top left area of the page next to the Lakeside Speedway logo, click on “Upcoming Live” and from there select the event from the menu that appears and follow the payment prompts and questions. The fee is $19.99.

In addition to the Friday program, Lakeside Speedway will host the Saturday, September 11th ‘Monster Truck In Sanity Tour’ plus Local Tough Truck and UTV races and the Monster Bus Ride Experience. A pit party kicks off the action at 4:30 p.m. followed by Showtime at 6.
