Hinton, Wiggs and Benson Best Lucas Oil NOW600 Fields at Nevada Speedway

NEVADA, Mo. (Sept. 6, 2021) - Chelby Hinton, Jaxton Wiggs and Garrett Benson each bested their respective Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by the Hi Plains Building Division class on Sunday at Nevada Speedway.

The Sunday night Labor Day Weekend special marked the second time the National Micros competed at the southwest Missouri oval.

Chelby Hinton from the fourth starting spot making the high side around the Nevada Speedway work and captured the 20-lap feature event. Colby Sokol claimed the runner up spot. Seventh starting Trey Zorn crossed the line in the third spot with Gavin Miller claiming fourth. The top five rounded out with Talin Turner.

Blayne Buntin was credited with sixth. Garrett Hulsey was seventh. Kyle Gray took the eighth spot with Cooper Sullivan and Kyle Thompson the top ten.

Miller and Hinton each won the nights lone two heat races.

Jaxton Wiggs picked up his second career Lucas Oil NOW600 National triumph in the Restricted 'A' Class. Wiggs rolled from the pole and led wire to wire to claim the win. Garrett Benson finished in the second spot after starting fifth on the grid. Corbin Rueschenberg rounded out the podium. Jett Nunley was fourth with Justis Sokol the top five.

Scout Spraggins claimed the sixth spot. Seventh went to Cole Vanderheiden. Keegan Osantowski was eighth at the line. Talin Turner took ninth and Jack Thomas made up the top ten.

Benson and Nunley each won a Restricted heat race.

Garrett Benson picked up his second Winged A-Class feature event victory on Sunday. Benson starting sixth and worked his way through the field to pick up the win. Current National point leader, Noah Key came from the ninth starting spot to finish second. The podium rounded out with Gavin Miller. Justis Sokol who started 13th made his way up to fourth and Talin Turner made up the top five.

Brecken Reese crossed sixth. Colby Sokol fell back to the seventh spot with Corbin Rueschenberg claiming the eighth spot. Garrett Hulsey was ninth with Skyler Daly the top ten.

Rueschenberg and Turner were victorious in heat race competition.

The Lucas Oil NOW600 National Championship presented by the Hi Plains Building Division will sit idle for more than a month before returning to action on October 21-23 as the Restricted 'A' Class takes center stage during the KKM Giveback Classic at Port City Raceway.
