All Star Circuit of Champions

Cory Eliason cashes in for $7,300 in Lincoln Speedway’s Kramer Klash

ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. (August 28, 2021) - For the second time in four starts, and for the seventh time in his career, Visalia, California’s Cory Eliason is a FloRacing All Star Circuit of Champions presented by Mobil 1 main event winner, doing so during Lincoln Speedway’s annual Kramer Klash which honors the late, great Kramer Williamson. Earning the pole position by way of dash result, Eliason led all 35 circuits of the $7,300-to-win showstopper, forced to fend off early charges by fellow front row starter Zeb Wise, as well as a late charge by Parker Price Miller, who snuck by Justin Peck for second with just four circuits remaining.

“We probably should have been up here a lot more times this year, but it feels great to get another win,” an elated Cory Eliason expressed in Lincoln Speedway victory lane. “My guys have been really busting their butts the last month or so and it’s really beginning to show. We’re starting to get more competitive, at least at the level we should be at. Hopefully all of the guys back home are awake watching this. Everyone at the Rudeen office is a diehard race fan and they're always reaching out and letting us know they see us and support us...having that level of support makes wins like these a lot more special.”

Despite a caution-filled first two circuits that included a pair of red flag incidents, one of which resulting in an open red, the Kramer Klash finally commenced with its first uninterrupted stretch of green flag action beginning on lap three. Eliason was the man in charge, tracked every corner by Angola, Indiana’s Zeb Wise and Swindell Speedlab’s Parker Price Miller.

Although Eliason was able to maintain a steady advantage through the first ten circuits, slower traffic eventually changed the game for the pilot of the Rudeen Racing, Hager Realty, Rayce Rudeen Foundation, No. 26 entry allowing Wise to chip away at the gap. Laps 12 and 13 would see Wise do his best to take advantage of Eliason’s confrontation with traffic, actually showing his nose to the Californian on lap 13, all before pulling even with Eliason for a short stint the following circuit. Despite the pressure, Eliason found himself another gear and quickly scooted away from Wise’s Sundollar Restoration No. 10.

Meanwhile, Monrovia, Indiana’s Justin Peck, who started tenth aboard his Kramer Kraft tribute car, was on the move, avoiding the early race messes and cruising his way to fifth within the first few circuits. Peck battled his way to fourth well before halfway, eventually claiming third on lap 20, then second on lap 27. Regardless of his progress, a caution on lap 29, and another on lap 31, would ultimately end Peck’s potential for victory, as Eliason was given clean air and a clear track for the ensuing restarts.

As mentioned, Kokomo, Indiana’s Parker Price Miller snuck by Peck on lap 31 to lock down second; Cory Eliason drove off unscathed.

The All Star/Pennsylvania Posse four-race sweep will come to a close on Sunday evening, August 29, at BAPS Motor Speedway in York Haven. The Johnny Mackison Clash will award a $5,000 top prize, and like the trip to Grandview, will feature the All Star Circuit of Champions for the first and only time of 2021.
