Shebester fifth different AmeriFlex / OCRS IMCA winner at Lawton

Photo by Mike Howard, story by John Rittenoure - LAWTON, Okla. (March 27, 2021) - Steven Shebester has run his share of laps around the Lawton Speedway. However, Saturday was his first time to race there with the AmeriFlex / OCRS IMCA Sprint Cars. And it turned out to be a night to remember.

Shebester worked his way from a sixth place starting position to win his first career AmeriFlex / OCRS IMCA victory in his first race with the series and the fifth different winner in the five race old season. Shebester was able to pass pole sitter Whit Gastineau for the win. Finishing behind Gastineau was 2018 champion Alex Sewell, three-time champion Zach Chappell was fourth and opening weekend winner Joe Bob Lee rounded out the top five. Casey Wills finished sixth to hang on to his early season points lead.
