July 19th Canceled & Rescheduled Info
Dangerous extreme heat for Friday, July 19, 2019 has forced the races to be canceled. The temperature will be in the mid 90's with a heat index reaching 108 degrees on Friday. Heat indexes over 103 degrees increase to dangerous levels that are not safe for an outdoor event.
We have raced with temperatures near this in the past and it has proven unsafe for fans, drivers and our employees to work in. After our race in 2018, we decided we would not race in heat that puts people at risk just to get the show in.
Events that will be re-scheduled:
- Driver's Pit Party will be July 26th
- Suspension MAXX Truck Drags will be August 16th
- Fireworks from July 19th will be added to make the August 9th firework show even bigger
Events that will not be re-scheduled:
- Greased Pig 9.0. Three strikes and we're out. All the races before the Season Championship already have a special event scheduled on them.
- Selfie night with the caricature artist
Freeland & Saginaw City Night
