BOWERS TOPS POWRi MLS FEATURE AT VALLEY

GRAIN VALLEY, MO. (July 12, 2019) – Sharing the stage alongside the POWRi Lucas Oil National / West Midgets and the POWRi Engler Machine & Tool Outlaw Micros, the POWRi Midwest Lightning Sprints tackled Valley Speedway on Friday night. Charging from eighth, Kenny Bowers of Olathe, Kans. stormed to the lead by lap five and ran away with the victory.

Bobby Layne of Kansas City, Mo. and Kyle Lewis of Spring Hill, Kans. split heat race victories while Jeff Bard of Basehor, Kans. and Tyler Murry of Dover, Mo. led the field to the green flag.

Aa the field rocketed into turn one like rush hour traffic on a Friday night, Lewis snagged the lead away from Bard while Bowers came blistering to the front in a hurry. Hammering the high side of the quarter-mile, Bowers made a move around the outside of turn four and took command of the top spot.

From there, the race was essentially over. Kenny Bowers of Olathe, Kans. threw the hotel keys on the counter and checked out, driving away for a dominating victory with the POWRi Lucas Oil Midwest Lightning Sprint League at Valley Speedway.

Following Bowers to the line was Kyle Lewis in second, Bobby Layne in third, Jeff Bard in fourth and Tyler Murry in fifth.
