I-90 Speedway

June 1 cancelled - An update from Hot Rod

These last 5 weeks have been some of the most frustrating days of my life. I have to inform everyone AGAIN about I-90 Speedway cancelling races for Saturday, June 1st. This was to be a Property Solutions of America MSTS 360 show, along with the Paramount Racing Series presented by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union 426, but because of track, pits and parking conditions, we are unable to hold this event.

With 1 1/2" of rain at the track on Sunday/Monday and another 1 1/2" of rain on Tuesday/Wednesday, it is impossible to accommodate race cars and their haulers, not to mention fan parking.

For those of you who understand, thank you. I wish we could get multiple days of sunshine and warm temperatures to dry out the joint, we just haven't be able to get those. According to meteorologists, there is relief on the way, but it's too late for this week.

I-90 Speedway will be working with MSTS officials to reschedule this event, along with as many missed shows as possible. In the meantime, please be patient with us. We have worked very hard to get this track open for business after being dormant for the last three years. The LAST thing we want to do is call races that we have a chance to run. Unfortunately, it's just impossible with the soggy ground.

Saturday, June 8th will HOPEFULLY be our season opener with the Ben Nothdurft Memorial Race, presented by Howe's Plumbing and Heating. The Tri-State Late Models will battle for a $4000 to win pay day and late models from as far away as Omaha and Lincoln, Nebraska, Rapid City and more have called about this one.

Be watching our Facebook page and our website at www.i90speedway.com for updates as we prepare for this HUGE show.

Thank you for your understanding. No one wants to race more than we do.
