ASCS Warrior Region Wrapping Up 2018 Season This Weekend At Lake Ozark and U.S. 36 Raceway

Bryan Hulbert – TULSA, Okla. (October 1, 2018) The Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awning, and Wraps is headed into the final weekend of the 2018 season with the series in action at Lake Ozark Speedway on Friday, October 5 and U.S. 36 Raceway on Saturday, October 6.
Rolling into this weekend’s Missouri double-header, Miles Paulus needs only show up to secure his first career Championship with the Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awning, and Wraps.
The sixth appearance of the season at Lake Ozark Speedway, the Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awning, and Wraps will be in action along with the USAC Amsoil National Sprint Cars at the one-third mile oval. Evan Martin looks to secure the runner-up spot with Kyle Bellm third. Aidan Roosevans and Jonathan Cornell make up the top-five.
In five previous races this season, four drivers have rolled into Victory Lane. Paul Nienhiser topped action on May 25 with Seth Bergman winning on May 26. Jonathan Cornell won on June 30. Most recently, Sammy Swindell swept the Labor Day 360 Nationals on September 1 and 2. This Friday opens at 5:00 P.M. with racing at 7:30 P.M. (CT). Round three at U.S. 36 Raceway, the high-banked three-eighths mile oval in Osborn, Mo. features 21 degrees of banking in the corners. Among the fastest tracks on the 2018 lineup, Jack Dover and Seth Bergman proved the be the fastest in the series last two stops with Dover winning on June 8, and Bergman on July 20.
Saturday, October 6 at U.S. 36 Raceway opens at 4:00 P.M. with Racing getting underway at 7:00 P.M. Classes in addition to the Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awning, and Wraps include RaceSaver Sprint Cars and Sport Mods. Going into this weekend, 122 drivers have taken part in at least one event this year with 86 earning points. In 19 nights of racing, 14 different winners have emerged with Seth Bergman atop the win chart at three. Kyle Bellm, Jonathan Cornell, and Sammy Swindell follow with two each.
