SCHEDULE SET FOR PRESQUE ISLE DOWNS & CASINO RACE OF CHAMPIONS WEEKEND AT LAKE ERIE SPEEDWAY FEATURING THE 68th ANNUAL “RACE OF CHAMPIONS 250”
The schedule for the September 27, 28 and 29 Presque Isle Downs & Casino Race of Champions Weekend at Lake Erie Speedway in North East, Pennsylvania has been set. The schedule includes the running of the 68th Annual “Race of Champions 250” for the Race of Champions Asphalt Modified Series. The event includes three days filled with racing and festivities.
Thursday, September 27: Practice will take place on Thursday, September 27, with gates opening at 3:00 pm and practice from 4:00 pm until dusk for all divisions. Information regarding a special event this night is forthcoming.
Friday, September 28; Racing will include the Race of Champions Asphalt Sportsman Modified Series in a 75-lap event that concludes the second four-race season of this dynamic series. The Race of Champions Super Stock Series will compete in a 40-lap event that will complete their season and see the Series champion crowned, in addition to the conclusion of the TDH Refrigeration “Cool Performance of the Hottest Races of the Season” championship within a championship.
Saturday, September 29; The featured event will be the running of the 68th Annual “Race of Champions 250”. The event features 250 exciting laps of action for racing enthusiasts and is the second longest consecutive auto-racing event to take place each year in North America, second only to the Indianapolis 500. The Race of Champions Asphalt Late Model Series will conclude its season along with support from the highly competitive Lancaster National Speedway Street Stock division. The Race of Champions Four Cylinder “Dash” Series will conclude its inaugural season as well.
If you plan to attend the weekend and camp at the facility, spots are already being sold at the track for the designated camping areas. Tickets and camping spots for the Presque Isle Downs & Casino Race of Champions Weekend are available at the Lake Erie Speedway ticket office 814.725.3303.
