REINWALD, DORNER, HAVEL, DEGRAVE AND EVERARD REIGN AT LUXEMBURG SPEEDWAY

(Luxemburg, WI) 8/24/18 Mother nature proved to be the toughest competitor Friday night at Luxemburg Speedway as competition came to halt after the first heat race completed. The track crew and drivers worked diligently to keep the show rolling, but in the end rain continued to fall cancelling the final point night.

2018 Champions:

Russ Reinwald earned top honors in the Jerovetz Motorsports Shock Service IMCA Modifieds. This is the first track title for Reinwald. Shawn Kilgore and Jeremy Jacobs tied for the runner spot, defending champ Todd Dart was fourth and Josh Long completed the top five in points.

In the Quietwoods IMCA Stock Cars Shawn Havel took the championship in the Class Too Tough To Tame. Eric Arneson led the points most of the season to place second, former champion Dave Bouche was third, Rod Snellenberger took fourth and Brett Wenzel rounded out the top five.

Craig Dorner took over the point lead last week to earn his first ever Luxemburg Busch Light IMCA Sport Mod title. Chris Budzban once again was bridesmaid, finishing second in the standings. Lucas Lambries led most of the season and brought home third, Dennis Meisler was fourth and Sawyer Haese completed the top five.

Dave DeGrave sat a-top the standings all season long, scoring the championship in the Showcase Kitchens Street Stocks. Dan Van Pay was a close second, new comer Kevin Hebbe placed third, Jesse Krahn took fourth and Joe Johnson completed the top five in the standings.

TJ Everard bested his brother Tony Everard to earn the title in the IMCA Sport Compacts. Kyle Jorgeson placed third, Missy Clark was fourth and Jason Dondlinger was fifth.

The next scheduled event is a tentative 2-day special that will take place on September 14 &15. We will post info for this show on our Luxemburg Speedway Facebook page.
