Bryan Hulbert – SAPULPA, Okla. (June 2, 2018) The eighth round of the “Fast Five Weekly Series” at Creek County Speedway was hotter than the weather as Victory Lane saw three teams make their first stops of the 2018 season.

Rushing to the lead from fourth, Broken Arrow’s Noah Harris held on through several cautions for victory in Saturday’s 25-lap Champ Sprint feature event. Fending off Cameron Hagin for his first Creek County Speedway win of the season, the pair was chased to the line by 10th starting Alex DeCamp with Bailey Hughes and Jimmy Taylor making up the top-five. Postrace tech was performed with the top-five all passing.

While all indication was another Chad Davis victory, mechanical issues a handful of laps after getting the lead sidelined the No. 52, leaving control of the Modified A-Feature in the heads of Collin Wiseley. With a comfortable advantage at the drop of the checkered flag for his first win of the season, the No. 1 was joined on the podium by Matt French and Ho Dean, who led early on. Dropping in from Arkansas, Robbie Gates wheeled his No. 23g from 10th to fourth with Dustin Choate, also making his first appearance of the season, followed from ninth to fifth.

Rounding out the list of first time winners in 2018 was Rob McQuary in Dwarf Car action. Leading the way from the pole position, the No. 17 raced to the finish ahead of Mike Howard with Paul York, Rex Johnson, and Chuck Biggs.

Combining for nine wins so far this year, the McSperitt cousins are quite the force to be reckoned with.

Earning his fourth victory with the Mini Stocks, Kevin McSperitt had to race from fifth to get the job done. Leroy Burger from sixth came up to second with Jimmy Masterson third. Michael Longacre was fourth with Kenny Grumadas fifth.

Shifting gears to the Factory Stocks, win No. 5 of the season for Austin McSperitt came ahead of Jimmy Owen, Bobby Wolfe, Tommy Romine, and Bill Newton.

Creek County Speedway’s Fast Five Weekly Series of Champ Sprints, Modifieds, Dwarf Cars, Factory Stocks, and Mini Stocks returns for Round Eight on Saturday, June 9, 2018. Gates open at 4:30 P.M with Hot Laps at 7:00 P.M. Races get underway at 7:30 P.M. (CT).
