Banks, Oregon- With rain dampening the plans to get the first race of the season completed last weekend Sunset Speedway Park was at least able to register a practice in the books to give drivers an opportunity to shake their cars down. Saturday, April 22nd will have the honor of being the first round of action of the new 2017 season at SSP. The “Banks Bullring” will feature the Bridgeport Logistics Street Stocks, Northwest Dwarf Cars, New Bees, and both the Open and Restricted classifications of 600cc Micro Sprints.

“We can’t thank everyone enough that came out to the practice last weekend,” commented Nikki Gamell, Manager of Sunset Speedway Park, “this season is going to be one to be remembered. The racing here keeps getting better and better. I would personally like to invite all of our fans and their families out have an entertaining night at the races.”

Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, Time Trials begin at 5:30, with Racing kicking off at 6:30. Tickets are $13.00 for Adults, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00, Youths (6-12) $5.00, and Children (5 and Under) are FREE. A Family Pass (Two Adults and up to four Youths) is offered for $35.00 while Premium Seats are available for $25.00 each. For more information log on to www.sunsetspeedwaypark.com.
