Main Event Racing Series
BIG MERS/ARCA GOLD CUP CO-SANCTIONED EVENT THIS WEEKEND AT SANDUSKY
This weekend at Sandusky Speedway, come and see the stars and cars of the outlaw super late model world as the Royal Truck and Trailer ARCA Gold Cup Series and the Main Event Racing Series co-sanction the second annual event at Sandusky Speedway. In the inaugural co-sanctioned event last June 20th, Jeff Ganus dominated the field as Terry Senneker dropped by the wayside late in the 100 lap affair.
Among the early entries is last year's runner-up finisher, Alex Rosenberry, in the Rosenberry Towing/FliteTest #2 as well as the Brian Short-owned #18, which dominated the event last year. Bud Perry and Scott Baker are also scheduled to race, along with Greensburg, Pennsylvania's Steven Black.
The pit gates will open at 3 pm on Saturday afternoon with hot laps commencing at 4. Qualifications will begin at 5:30, which will set the field for the racing action, which is set to begin at 7:00. The Main Event Racing Series is the premiere outlaw super late model series in the Midwest. The tour is known for attracting some of the best drivers and teams from Ohio, Indiana and Michigan.
Two-time NASCAR Xfinity Series event winner Butch Miller has won races on the tour, including the 1994 Main Event VII.
