Brown Bags Red River Round Up Finale
Tulsa, OK March 6 ,2016 : The chili weather didn't stop an abundance of fans from packing the Red River Speedway for the finale of the the Red River Round Up. With 34 drivers signing in for competition the night was surely going to action packed once again.
Heat races would see drivers battling to be the nights Integrity Customs high point man. Plenty of side by side, 3 and 4 wide racing the action was intense. Heat race wins would be credited to Holly Shelton, Tim Crawley, Austin Brown and Steven Shebester.
The Integrity Customs high point man for the night would be Friday nights feature winner Tanner Thorson. Thorson would pick a fan from the stands to roll the dice for him, and the top 4 would be inverted for the nights 25 lap A-Feature.
Two 12 lap B-Features would be won by Robert Sellers and Harli White.
With the line up inverted Austin Brown and Ryan Robinson would lead the field to green for the 25 lap A-Feature. Brown would jump out to an early lead as Robinson and Tim Crawley would give chase. The nights first caution would involve the nights Integrity Customs high point man Tanner Thorson, and Carson Macedo as the pair looked to have spin in turn 2. Both drivers would go to the work area but only Macedo would return.
Back under green Brown would be challenged by Crawley for the lead. The duo would battle for several laps before Crawley would take the over the spot and begging to put a few car lengths between himself and Brown. A few laps later the red flag would fly as Jason McDougal would make contact with Holly Shelton causing him to tumble to his side. As the red flag flew an airborne Macedo would come to a stop in turn one. Both drivers would be okay with McDougal able to re-fire.
Single file restart would see Crawley leading Brown, Robonson, Spencer Bayston, and Grady Chandler. Crawley would once again work on a big lead over the field as Bayston would make his way past Robinson, and a hard charging Anton Hernandez would set sail around the top of the speedway to break into the top 5
In the closing laps Brown began closing the gap as Crawley was off the pace. Brown would catch Crawley but Crawley would not go down without a fight. In the closing laps the duo would be side by side with Brown would gain the position for good off the exit of turn 2. Crawley would settle for second with Bayston, Robinson and Hernandez rounding out the top 5.
The nights racebumper.com hard charger would go to Spencer Bayston as he made his way from 11th to 3rd.
