Preston Luckman Gets Big NELMS Win At Coos Bay

Coos Bay Speedway would host the sixth race of the year for the Northwest Extreme Late Model Series. It would be the one and only visit of 2015 to the coastal venue. Eleven drivers from the states of Oregon and Washington were in the pit area for the evening's events.
Obtaining the lead on lap three Coos Bay teenager Preston Luckman was primed and determined to obtain the victory. Chauffeuring the Quadel Industries/L-N-L Lumber Outlet/Q2I Archery #16P Rocket, Luckman, would maintain the race lead to win the feature. It be his first career triumph against the Northwest Extreme Late Model Series.
Portland's Jody Tanner would finish second in his Xtreme Motorsports #36 Victory Circle while the Central Oregon Trucking/W.W. Trailers/Driving Force Graphics/Ohlins by JDR #31B Rocket, driven by Ron Brewster of Redmond, was third. Sonny Modaff of Battle Ground, Washington got fourth in his DCM Trucking/The Chop Shop/T-Mac Performance/Xtreme Motorsports #8X MasterSbilt followed by the All-In Property Investments/X-Factor Race Cars/Warpaint Motorsports Graphix #67 MasterSbilt of Dave Walter from Boring got fifth.
The Northwest Extreme Late Model Series head to Sunset Speedway Park on Saturday June 27th. Pit Gates will open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates open at 4:00, and racing starts at 6:30. Tickets for this event are Adults $13.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-18) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a family pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00.
