National Sprint Car Museum to be Represented at Jim Raper Memorial Skagit Dirt Cup, Including with Museum-Benefit Auction
The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame has again been invited by Skagit Speedway owner Steve Beitler to hold a fund-raising auction to benefit the non-profit museum foundation in conjunction with the June 25-27 Jim Raper Memorial Dirt Cup, presented by Jack in the Box. The auction will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 27 in the Skagit Speedway grandstands.
According to museum executive director Bob Baker, “We truly thank Steve Beitler for his generosity in inviting the museum to be a part of the prestigious Super Dirt Cup event. It is especially meaningful for us as the late Jim Raper was inducted into the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame in 2005. We will auction special racing memorabilia, most of which will be autographed by the likes of Steve Kinser, the late Gary Bettenhausen, Mark Kinser, Larry Dickson, Joe Leonard, Jac Haudenschild, Bobby Davis, Jr., J.J. Yeley, Kasey Kahne, Sammy Swindell, Karl Kinser, Lanny Edwards, the late Earl Baltes, Brent Kaeding, Jimmy Sills and others.”
The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum will be represented at the 44th annual Dirt Cup by long-time museum volunteer and current board of directors’ member Mike Husted. The auction will start at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, and will be held on the grounds of Skagit Speedway in Alger, Washington.
