Cottage Grove, Oregon- Cottage Grove Speedway is the place you want to be this weekend, as the historic 1/4-mile clay oval will be hosting not one but two nights of racing. That's two nights of excitement where breathtaking moves and high speeds will be seen all at the same time.
The newly formed Western Sprint Tour will be making their debut as the 360 Sprint Series will be racing not only Friday but Saturday as well. It will feature the best 360 Sprint drivers in the Pacific Northwest region.
Friday night the Late Models and Street Stocks will be the support divisions. Curtis Towns has won both Late Model main events for car owner Paul Culp while Steve Dubisar was triumphant in the one and only Street Stock race of the season. Will Towns keep the streak alive?
Then Saturday night the 360 Sprints, as mentioned above, stick around for another night and will be joined by the IMCA Modifieds and Quality RV Repair Hornets for support classes. Jesse Williamson won the only IMCA Modified race hosted at CGS this year while Joe Maricle and Dan Jenkinson have accumulated wins in the first two Quality RV Repair Hornets in 2015. Jenkinson won last Saturday night's Salute To Melvin Walker main event.
Admission prices for both nights are Adults $15.00, Juniors/Seniors/Military $13.00, Youths (Ages 6-12) $8.00, and Children 5 & Under FREE. Both nights the Pit Gates will open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, Qualifying 5:30, and Racing begins right around 6:45. For more information log on to www.cottagegrovespeedway.com.
