USAC Title on the Line in CSP’s Hall of Fame Classic!

An entire season’s worth of wild battles, slide jobs and crossovers comes down to just two nights with the USAC Amsoil National Sprint Car Series title on the line at this weekend’s 14th Annual Hose Advantage Hall of Fame Classic atop the 1/3-mile Canyon Speedway Park clay oval.

Also the final pair of races on the USAC/CRA docket, racing action gets under way at 7:00 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday. Challenge Cup Sprint Cars and Micro Sprints will be on the card as well both nights.

Just two nights of competition is all that stands between Broken Arrow, OK, native Brady Bacon and his first USAC National championship aboard the Hoffman Racing Mean Green No. 69 entry.

A winner of four USAC National events this season, Bacon topped January’s Winter Heat opener at Canyon Speedway Park that was the first event that included a wall all the way around the 1/3-mile oval, creating an entirely different dynamic than what previously existed.

Bacon’s advantage entering the weekend is 51 points over Bryan Clauson, who raced to ten CSP triumphs in 2014. Dave Darland, who topped four of six Winter Challenge events at CSP to being the year, is another 28 points back in third.

Jon Stanbrough is currently fourth in USAC National points, with defending Hall of Fame Classic winner Chase Stockon in fifth.

Currently ninth in points, Rocklin, CA, native enters the weekend coming off a sweep of the 19th Annual Oval Nationals at Perris Auto Speedway, a triumph that netted $20,000 on Saturday night alone.

While Bacon tries to finish off the USAC National title chase, Damion Gardner will put the finishing touches on his third USAC/CRA championship as he enters the weekend comfortably ahead of Mike Spencer.

Matt Lundy has topped three of five Challenge Cup Sprint Car features at CSP this season while Gary Winter is the most recent winner in Micro Sprint action.
