World of Outlaws at Dodge City

July 4th weekend kicks off a seven week summer stretch for us and it all starts tonight here at Dodge City Raceway Park in Kansas. We’ll be trying out our new Maxim for the first time against the best in the business, the World of Outlaws. I have several races under my belt at Dodge City with the 410 so we found that it was a great opportunity to shake down the car and get a feel for it before heading to Knoxville. To catch the action tonight and tomorrow night, check out dirtvision.com for live audio.

After wrapping up this weekend, we will head to the Sprint Car Capital of the world for five weekends that will include 3 weekly 410 events on July 12th, 19th, 26th; the Capitani Classic on August 3rd, and the 54th Annual Knoxville Nationals on August 6th, 8th, and 9th. We will focus all our efforts on the 410 car this year after running everything we could last year. It was just too much and we weren’t very good at any of it so we’re hoping that we can find the balance in the weeks leading up to have a good showing at the Knoxville Nationals.

Finally, when we come back to the Southwest, we will catch the tail end of the USAC Southwest Freedom Tour on August 15th at 81 Speedway in Wichita, KS and August 16th back at Dodge City. By that time, our schedule will slow up as I head back to school and we prep for the end-of-the-year whirlwind that will be November this year. These next few weeks will be fun without a doubt and I can’t thank those who are helping us get back out there enough. I’d like to give a shout out to the Landis’s for welcoming me back; I can’t thank you guys enough for having me again. Also, thanks to Chuck Jackson for the support and help to get us back to Knoxville once again.

We'd also like to wish everybody a Happy July 4th Weekend. Stay safe and have fun!
