WOKO Renegade 100 on Tap at Airborne

For immediate release – Airborne Park Speedway – APS -061914-1

SOUTH PLATTSBURGH – The Key RD Trailer Sales Renegades will strap in for their longest race of the season on 98.9 WOKO FM/Morrisonville Septic Night Saturday at Airborne Park Speedway.

Richie Turner of Milton, Vt, has to be considered one of the favorites to land in victory lane as well as defending Renegade champion Lance Rabtoy of Fairfax, Vt and Mooers, NY veteran Jamy Begor.

Turner won the long-distance contest a year ago and is sixth on the all-time Renegade win list. He will don the racing suit of his recently deceased father-in-law Skip Liberty, who was a popular and successful driver at Airborne for many years.

“It will be an emotional night, but we’ll be there ready to go,” Turner said.

Rabtoy has a win and five top-5 finishes in five starts at the wheel of the Culligan Water/ J&L Hardware No. 11. Begor is a two-time winner this season in the Begor’s Supply/Huntley Trucking No. 19. He is second in the point standings, 15 points behind Rabtoy.

The J&S Steel Sportsman Modifieds are slated for a pair of 25-lap features. The first is an Airborne championship points event. The second is a 358-Modified/Sportsman challenge. Ernie’s Discount Tools 358-Modifieds such as point leader Jessey Mueller of Olmstedville Leon Gonyo of Chazy and Todd Stone of Middlebury, Vt are eligible to compete by running a restrictor plate.

Gates open at 4 p.m. Post time 6 p.m. Adult admission/$12. Kids 12 and under admitted free of charge.
