Lebanon, Oregon- The Northwest Extreme Late Model Series will visit their fourth different race track of the 2014 campaign on Saturday June 14th. Willamette Speedway will play host to the series as the tour regulars will face the Willamette veterans that compete in the X-Factor Race Cars Super Late Model division on a regular basis. It will also be Fan Appreciation Night at the historic 1/3-mile clay oval and the fine folks at Highoctane Die Cast will be raffling off replica 1:24 die cast cars including some of your favorite Northwest Extreme Late Model teams.

The Northwest Extreme Late Model Series has produced three different winners in as many races. Shaun Mayea was victorious in the Season Opener at Cottage Grove, Greg Walters won the Spring Challenge at Sunset Speedway Park, and Phil Johnson picked us his first career win at Madras Speedway on May 17th in Central Oregon. The series will return to Willamette two more times in 2014 including July 25th and 26th.

In domestic competition at Willamette Speedway, Joey Tanner leads the win column in the X-Factor Race Cars Super Late Models with two victories including the Clair Cup finale late last month. Other drivers to visit victory lane include John Duty, Steve Moore, and most recently Rob Mayea who was the Strawberry Cup winner on June 7th.

The Northwest Extreme Late Model Series has visited the Willamette Speedway a total of twelve times since 2010 four of which have been co-sanctioned with the DIRTcar Super Late Models. In fact the first race in the tour’s history was run at the facility on April 24th, 2010. Unfortunately both races scheduled at Willamette in 2013 were lost due to weather.

In those twelve races there have been six different winners with five of them winning on more than one occasion. Jason Wines has the most series wins with a total of three while Jerry Schram, Greg Walters, Russ Sell, and Trevor Glaser have each won twice. Rob Mayea is the only driver to have won once with the organization when it has visited Willamette.

Pit Gates will open at 1:00 PM, the Pit Meeting will take place at 2:30, Front Gates open at 3:30, and Racing starts at 6:00. Tickets for this event are Adults $12.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a Family Pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00.
