Lebanon, Oregon- Race fans of Willamette Speedway will see a lot of action this Memorial Day weekend as three nights of racing is scheduled to take place at the historic 1/3-mile clay oval. Things will get kicked off on Friday May 23rd as the American Sprint Car Series-Northwest Region are in the house along with the Street Stocks. Then Saturday the 24th will be the first night of two night of the annual Clair Cup ran in honor of longtime owner/operator Clair Arnold. All three nights will be separate shows and will feature full racing programs on every date.

Classes on Saturday May 24th will be the X-Factor Race Cars Super Late Models, Wirth Wireless IMCA Modifieds, Albany & Eastern Railroad Sportsman, and Street Stocks while Sunday the 25th will feature X-Factor Race Cars Super Late Models, Wirth Wireless IMCA Modifieds, Crocker’s Cars Super Sports, and Albany & Eastern Railroad Sportsman.

Two different winners have been produced in the X-Factor Race Cars Super Late Model division in two complete events. John Duty was the most recent winner after capturing the victory on May 17th and Joey Tanner won in the first event of the year back on April 19th. The Clair Cup has had three different winners in the three years the event has been ran. Russ Sell is the only driver to win the finale twice doing so in the first edition in 2010 and most recently in 2012. Steve Johnson was the 2011 winner while Rob Mayea captured a preliminary feature in 2012. Unfortunately rain washed out both nights of the 2013 installment.

In Wirth Wireless Modified action Kyle Yeack earned the Season Opener victory on April 19th while Monte Bischoff scored a huge win after seizing the lead with a handful of laps to go on May 17th. Two drivers have emerged victorious in Albany & Eastern Railroad Sportsman competition. Ron Berry started the campaign off with the win on April 19th and young Brody Pompe got the job done on May 3td. Only one race has been complete for both the Crocker’s Cars Super Sports and Street Stocks with Gil Pickett (winning on May 3rd) and Justin Evans (winning on April 19th) visiting the winner’s circle in their respected classes.

Prices on Friday for the Sprint Car show are Adults $15.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $13.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $8.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a family pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00. Pit Passes will be $30.00. The Pit Gates will open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates open at 4:30, and Racing is scheduled to get underway around 7:00 PM.

On Saturday and Sunday the Pit Gates will open at 1:00 PM, the Pit Meeting will take place at 2:30, Front Gates open at 3:30, and Racing starts at 6:00. Tickets each night are Adults $12.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE.
