Blake Hahn Hard Charger on Friday, Runner-up on Saturday

SAPULPA, Okla. (May 13, 2014) - After rain washed out the Lucas Oil ASCS presented by MAVTV American Real this past Thursday at Lakeside Speedway, Blake Hahn raced close to home; competing with the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region on Friday, May 9.

Advancing 13 spots on Friday at the Creek County Speedway, Hahn earned the title of Hard Charger with his sixth place finish. Drawing near the tail of his Heat, Hahn found himself in a B-Feature, earning the final transfer to start 19th in the night's 25 lap A-Feature.

"I had a really good car in one and two. Everybody else was up top having to cowboy up, and I was able to roll the bottom pretty good. I had a really good exit to get down the back straight-a-way to get up to sixth," said Hahn of the Friday night feature.

Hahn's weekend also included a last minute trip to the I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Ark. on Saturday, May 10.

"The tracks were pretty similar. They were both tacky and a little rough," commented Hahn. "I had a lot better draw on Saturday and started second row of the Heat Race and finished second to Howard Moore."

Gridding the Old School Racing No. 17 fourth in the A-Feature, Hahn gave chase to Aaron Reutzel who grabbed his second victory of the weekend.

"I got around Cody Gardner for third, then we had a restart a couple laps in and I was able to get by Moore for second a few laps later. I ran right behind Reutzel the rest of the race. We had a few yellows but I just couldn't make anything happen."

The Griffith Truck and Equipment No. 17 will compete next at the Boyd Raceway in Boyd, Texas on Friday, May 16 and Devil's Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas on Saturday, May 17 with the Smiley's Racing Products Lone Star Region and American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region.

"We ran at Boyd one time last year, but had to pull off because the engine over heated. We've already ran a couple times at Devil's Bowl this year, so I'm looking forward to going back there."
