Midwest Legends Dirt Series

2025 MLDS Season Stats

Now that we are a few weeks removed from the final Midwest Legend Dirt Series race of the season, we thought it would be a great time to share our overall stats for the season. A lot happened this season and the series is as happy as possible to share these numbers with you.

First off, the season itself. The initial schedule included thirty-five different nights, which ended up changing to thirty-seven events with the addition of two nights. Of those thirty-seven races, twenty-seven raced. The series visited four new tracks, Plymouth, Cedar Lake, Sycamore, and Hawkeye Downs, while the series returned to Maquoketa, Luxy, 141, Beaver Dam, Gravity Park, Angell Park, and Outagamie. 141 led the way with five appearances, while Maquoketa and Beaver Dam shared the next spot with four. Luxy, Gravity Park, and Angell Park all saw three events while Outagamie saw two nights of racing. Plymouth, Cedar Lake, Sycamore, and Hawkeye Downs all had a lone night. The series was set to visit Thunder Hill, Lafayette, and The Hill but those events were rained out or canceled.

Next up is competitors, this stat will be broken up in a few ways, which will be specified during each section. First, the series on average saw twenty-seven cars a night not counting the two rainout nights that had started or the special Legends.Direct 10K Dirt Showdown. With the rainout nights counting, the number jumps to twenty-eight. Counting the 10K Showdown, the number jumps to an even higher thirty. The season high was September 19th at Beaver Dam Raceway with fourty-four cars, a regular season high. The 10K Showdown saw a sixty car field which is a series record. The low was May 9th at Luxy Raceway, which saw twelve cars for the event which the series was added to late on in the week. Overall, the series saw one hundred and four different drivers, which gets lowered to ninety-two not counting the 10K Showdown. The series saw drivers from Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, and North Dakota normally, with Ohio and New Jersey being added during the 10K Showdown. The series also saw Glenn Mitchell from Picton, New South Wales, Australia during the season.
