Pair of victories for Taylor in Race for Time at Southern Oklahoma
On Saturday, Jeff Taylor competed in two Modified divisions with the same car in the Race For Time event at Ardmore, Oklahoma’s Southern Oklahoma Speedway. The event is designed to help families with children fighting cancer. Racing in honor of The Kids of the Jimmy Everest Center, Taylor scored two special victories.
In the 10-car IMCA Modified program at the 3/8-mile track, Taylor advanced his No. 5 machine from third to first in his heat race. He started from the pole in the 20-lap feature and took the win over Jaxon McGaha, Matt Mueller, Trent Gibby and Trey Willoughby.
Ten cars also competed in the Open Modified portion of the show. Taylor drove from fifth to first in his heat and started from the top spot in the A-Main. He took the checkered flag in that 20-lapper as well, with Cary Bartoo, Danny Caldwell, Ryan Veal and Zack Oliva completing the top five.
Taylor’s two Saturday feature wins were his third and fourth of the season overall.
