Lebanon, Oregon- Two nights of excitement are headed to Willamette Speedway this Saturday August 31st and Sunday September 1st for the return of the Labor Day Classic. The DIRTcar Super Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Super Sports, Sportsman, and Street Stocks will deliver full cards of racing for two nights. Feel the thunder and adrenaline rush of the 1/3-mile clay oval this Labor Day weekend.

On both days the pit gates will open at 1:00 PM, front gates 3:30 PM, and racing should be getting started around 6:00 PM. Admission prices are Adults $14.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $12.00, Youths (12 and Under) $6.00, Family Pass (Two Adults and Up To Four Youths) $35.00, and Pit Passes are $25.00. Both days the drivers meeting will take place at 3:00 PM immediately followed by wheel packing.

Trevor Glaser earned his eleventh main event win in the DIRTcar Super Late Models last Saturday and with just a handful of events left in the season Glaser potentially could end his magisterial campaign with a total of seventeen wins. Russ Sell has won twice this year in the DIRTcar Super Late Models while Joey Tanner has done so once.

Craig Cassell is the guy to beat in the IMCA Modified ranks. Coming off his huge triumph in the annual Modified Tribute To Clair he now has the most wins at Willamette in 2013 with three visits to victory lane. Monte Bischoff is the only other driver to have won more than once with his two victories. A long list of drivers have one IMCA Modified main event win to their credit which includes Jeffrey Rivers, Dustin Dittman, Jesse Williamson, Mark Wauge, Alex Stanford, Brody Pompe, Kyle Yeack, Mark Carrell, and Joey Tanner.

Gil Pickett now leads the Super Sport division with the most wins this season. Pickett has three wins while both Steve Moore and Bob Jeffrey have won twice. Earning a trip to the winner’s circle just once in 2013 have been Randy Barely, Danny Altom, Clay Debban, and Brian Smith.

Brian Smith has managed to achieve the most wins in the Sportsman. Last Saturday he would earn his fourth win of the season after his dominating performance. Todd Miller still has three triumphs while Brian Goetz and Ron Berry each have two wins. Drivers with just a single victory include Brian Brown, Phil Housworth, Jeff Marson, and Clyde Rood.

After a week off the Street Stocks get back to the action. David Cronk has earned an impressive six wins this year while trailing him in the win column is young Bricen James with four victories. Kevin Roberts has two wins this season and Justin Evans has won just once.

Don’t forget that the World of Outlaw Sprint Series will return on Tuesday September 3rd. IMCA Modifieds will be the support class this evening. You can still purchase your tickets through the Willamette Speedway website. Front gates will open at 3:00 PM and unfortunately no stadium bench seating will be allowed.

The Willamette Speedway has operated since the 1960’s and is a facility where high car counts and great racing are the norm. The venue will hosts weekly action comprising of DIRTcar Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Sportsman, Super Sports, Street Stocks, and Mini Trucks.
