Lane Carr captures The Glen Francis Cup

Titan Legends Late Model Series – Annual Glen Francis Cup Recap
August 9, 2025 – Crowley’s Ridge Raceway – Paragould, Arkansas

The Titan Legends Late Model Series returned to Crowley's Ridge Raceway Saturday night for the prestigious annual Glen Francis Cup, bringing 20 of the region’s toughest steel block late models to the 1/4 -mile oval for a 25-lap showdown.

After winning his heat race, Downtown Nathan Browns No. 3 machine rolled off from the pole alongside the 11M of Robbie Moore. Moore jumped to the early lead, pacing the field for the first four circuits before Yellvilles Kenyan Methvin took command on lap five in the No. 41. Methvin held the point for the next 13 laps until Lake Cormorant, Mississippi Lane Carr powered his No. 74 to the front on lap 18. Carr never looked back, stretching his lead over the final eight laps to secure the Glen Francis Cup and post the fastest lap of the night a blistering 14.171 seconds on the white flag lap.

Henry Gustavus in the No. 78 charged from 11th to finish second, sharing Hard Charger honors with 20th-place starter Scott Tracer, who climbed nine positions to 11th. Warren, Arkansas Derrick Nichols brought the No. 8N home in third, with Methvin settling for fourth and pole sitter Brown rounding out the top five.

20 cars started the A-Main, with 14 taking the checkered flag. DNFs included Kyle Downs, Jeff Cloninger, Bryan Glaze, Heath Stevens, and Mark Jordan.
