Sam Seawright captures $15,000 Deep Fried 75 at Duck River Raceway Park

Swapping a motor right before making the trip to Tennessee, Sam Seawright joined a 32-car field with the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series at Duck River Raceway Park (Shelbyville, Tenn.) on Friday afternoon for the Deep Fried 75.

Picking up a heat race win, Seawright started on the outside pole for the $8,000-to-win main event and wound up with a Top-5 finish in fifth. He trailed Jimmy Owens, Dale McDowell, Zack Mitchell, and Joseph Joiner.

The Troy Baird Racing team kicked it into high gear on Saturday evening as Sam grabbed another heat race victory and redrew the pole position for the 75-lap finale. Leading the opening lap, Seawright let Cory Hedgecock get by before retaking the lead in the closing stages of the feature. Seawright pulled away and collected the $15,000 over Hedgecock and Dale McDowell. The win marked Seawright's second Deep Fried win and fourth-career series victory.
